Many few are lucky in love since their first crush is often the last one on their list of prospective life-partners.Youth is that innocent age of infatuation which slowly dwindles away showing the real qualities required in your partner for a strong life-long relationship.
But, in the case of Bollywood actors,Genelia and Ritiesh, it was the former which held true and turned into true love forever.
Yes, we are going to discuss the marriage story of the cute and young ,Genelia D Souza and her first love, Ritiesh Deshmukh.
The Beginning

In the year, 2002, they first met at the airport with their parents for the test shoot of their first debut film together,Tujhe Meri Kasam. She was quite wary of meeting him since he was the son of Maharashtra’s then Chief Minister’s (Late Shri Vilas Rao Deshmukh) .
She thought that he would be haughty and full of airs since he was the father of the CM of Maharashtra. She showed him an attitude and received him vey coldly, surprising Ritiesh.
He turned out to be the exact opposite of what she had expected him to be by nature as he was very friendly and polite with everyone on the sets of their film.
The Friendship

Genelia was quite impressed with this young man and they started talking comfortably shedding all inhibitions.She was 16 of age at that time and Ritiesh was pursuing architecture which gave them topics to talk about. She would discuss about her college life,exams and more with Ritiesh while he would listen to her patiently.
After their film shooting wrapped up, they returned home and started missing each other slowly.
He was 24 when she was 16 and they had slowly started falling in love with each other as they grew up for a gap of nine years!
The Marriage

On February 3, 2012 , the cute couple tied the knot in a big fat Indian wedding involving lots of ceremonies and rituals over a long period of time. Riteish was a Maharashtrian Hindu, while Genelia D’souza was a Mangalorean Catholic. Their wedding saw a beautiful blend of both the traditions right from the pre-wedding bash to the wedding ceremony itself.
Their marriage story is one of the best examples of the perfect inter-faith love marriage, since both their families gave equal respect to each other’s traditions and rituals.
They wed in Maharashtrian as well as Christian style and also had a reception later with invitations to many Bollywood stars and politicians in India.
Their wedding reception was a complete Bollywood party held at the Grand Hyatt. They were dressed glamorously and were blushing furiously in each other’s arms!

Life Post Marriage

They welcomed their first bundle of joy, Riaan, on November 25, 2014 with much celebration and happiness.Their second child , Rahyl, came into this world on June 1, 2016. There has been no looking back when it comes to enjoying their family time and love since their marriage.
Genelia took a break from her career to take care of her little ones and give her man all the attention he craved for.
Their friendship, respect and mutual trust has made their marriage so successful since the six years of their wedlock.
Their Secret to Happiness

They were probably the only couple in the film industry who had remained from any type of link-up or affair rumours . Their bond was strong and their company for each other was perfect from the start of their relationship.
None of them had formally proposed to the other, it was like everything was known and accepted right from the start.
No one else could come in between this cute Jodi as they had eyes only for each other.
Ritiesh shared some of his marriage secrets as,“Every time we need to find something that is out of the ordinary.. if you are in a life that you are spending together, and if every day becomes routine, it’s important to break that routine. And, once you break that routine, it will add freshness to your life. And that routine should be a surprise…“Oh are we doing this today?” That ‘Oh’ factor in a relationship, always keeps it going.”
Genelia, being the fun-loving and caring wife, added, “We enjoy our time together. Romance and all are big words. Just the fact you enjoy each other, love each other and you ‘can’ spend 24 hours of a day with each other is important.”
In this age of technology and competition , decreased patience and time, it is wonderful to know that couples like them still take out time for each other and are always by each other’s side.
Giving time and attention to your partner is a very vital and much ignored aspect which leads to cracks in any relationship over time. We wish Genelia Ritiesh even more years of love and eternal togetherness for that perfect relationship they share.
